The City of DeQuincy
is accepting applications for a
City Planner
The City of DeQuincy is seeking a motivated and community-focused City Planner to support planning, infrastructure, and development initiatives. This position works closely with city staff, engineers, developers, and state and federal agencies to guide community improvements, capital projects, and long-range planning while supporting community engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Community Planning & Engagement
- Plan and coordinate community events and activities that support civic engagement and community development
- Serve as a point of contact for planning-related questions from residents and stakeholders
Capital & Infrastructure Projects
- Assist engineers and developers with comprehensive improvements and capital improvement projects
- Work closely with the Public Works Department on infrastructure planning, improvement, and repair projects
- Coordinate planning efforts related to streets, drainage, utilities, and other public infrastructure
Grants & Funding
- Help prepare grant documents and supporting materials
- Assist with grant applications and reporting requirements
- Coordinate with state and federal agencies on funded improvement and repair projects
